Alanna Sterling

On Monday, 23rd of November 2015, singer/songwriter Alanna Sterling performed at Zaphod Beeblebrox, the premier alternative music venue of Ottawa. From the moment that she came onto the stage, she owned the audience. Her band was crisp and yet spontaneous. I have been a fan of Alanna for years, and this was a certain payoff. When she starts touring, be sure to see her. Alanna performed songs with the saxophone. She has only played the saxophone for a few short months, but already she could leave the likes of David Sanborn in the dust.

Check out her Youtube page. She is pretty amazing.

Junction Village

Here is a secret about Toronto. Don't tell anybody. The secret is Junction Village. It spans from Dundas Street West and Bloor Street and goes to Dundas West and Runnymede Road. It is a small village in Toronto and it is a gem. But keep it under your hats.

Now THIS is civilised! A permanent ping pong table at Malta Park on Dundas West.
